Coached-Mentor Pastor

Coaching and Mentoring

Coaching leaders is widely recognized as an effective tool for enhancing the impact of both local pastors, leaders, ministry volunteers, and their churches in fulfilling their missions. At Coram Deo, we employ a “coached-mentoring” approach in our work with church leaders.

Coaches help pastors draw out solutions and strategies from their own giftedness and experience, guiding them to discover their preferred ways of addressing problems and tasks. It's incredibly rewarding when the "light bulb" moment occurs, and pastors, with the coach’s assistance, identify their own solutions.

Sometimes, however, pastors may find themselves "stuck" and in need of external insights to tackle a problem or task. This is where the mentoring aspect of coached mentoring comes into play. Mentors provide pastors with solutions and best practices derived from others who have faced similar challenges.

This blend of “coached-mentoring” – both "pulling out" and "pouring in" – makes the Coram Deo approach empowering, satisfying, and highly effective for pastoral leaders.
